• Lambs - 8cc per day
Daily dose can be reduced in half for prevention use. Make sure to sanitize syringe tip between doses. Daily doses can be divided into multiple feedings.

FIRST MONTH FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW DO I USE FIRST MONTH?

First Month powder mixes right into the milk you’ll be feeding the calf. Mix 4 grams (1 tsp) into 2 quarts of milk or milk replacer per calf and stir thoroughly. Feed twice daily.

HOW LONG SHOULD I USE FIRST MONTH?

You should use First Month for at least 1 month; 2 months is beneficial.

HOW MUCH DOES FIRST MONTH COST?

Depending on ease of access and shipping costs, Redmond First Month will usually cost around $8-$9 per calf in the first month of use.

WHAT IS IN REDMOND FIRST MONTH AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

First Month is an immune stimulator containing: Redmond Mineral Conditioner: which increases feed utilization, binds to toxins, buffers gut pH, and provides an expansive spectrum of minerals. WHEN DOES FIRST MONTH EXPIRE?

Redmond First Month has a shelf life of 1 year after you receive your product. The probiotics in First Month activate when hydrated, so re-seal package every time between uses, keep away from moisture, and keep scoop dry. You can also store First Month in a fridge or freezer if you are not actively mixing and dosing for more secure storage.

Probiotics Plus Minerals in Every Bottle

I have raised sheep and goats, but the explosive diarrhea that my first bottle calf was suffering was severe enough so that she went off her bottle for a while. After spending a fortune on all the pastes that are out there for calves, I realized that I had to get minerals in her regularly if I was going to get her immune system to function normally again. Thank goodness for Redmond First Month! Had I been using it from the start, I believe I could have avoided a lot of problems of scours and her recovery would have been much quicker. Once I was able to give both minerals AND probiotics in every bottle of milk replacer, she immediately perked up. Some people will tell you to alternate bottles of electrolytes with milk replacer. Calves need their milk replacer for energy. By adding Redmond First Month to the milk replacer from the start of bottle feeding, the crucial blood minerals will be at a level to reduce the risk of imbalances and it provides the probiotics that improve digestion. The cost of Redmond First Month is way less than all those pastes at the feed store, and you don't have to fight with getting it in them. I will be using this wonderful product for all my bottle calves!
