These crystals rock! Or maybe we should say they are rocks. These natural chunks of rock salt are smaller versions of the large pieces of salt that come from the mine. We remove the Ancient Sea Salt Crystals from the crusher when they are 2 to 4 inches long.  We love looking at the colored minerals mixed in with the sodium chloride salt. Because they are made by mother nature (we call Real Salt® “Nature’s First Sea Salt®”), every piece is unique– you’ll never find two that are exactly the same.

These rocks are versatile! All of these require water. Salt doesn’t contain water, so it doesn’t support microbial growth, meaning it won’t spoil. In fact, salt is actually used as a preservative for other foods, like meat.
