How long does a 5 lb pouch of Redmond Rock Crushed last?

If you’re feeding your horse 2 ounces of Crushed per day, one pouch will last approximately 6 weeks.

What is the difference between Redmond Rock Crushed and Daily Gold? Which loose mineral product should I feed my horse?

Crushed is excellent for horses who need normal salt and mineral supplementation. Daily Red has an enhanced vitamin and mineral formula designed for equine athletes, nutritionally depleted horses, stabled horses, pregnant mares, and foals. Learn more about Redmond Rock Crushed and Daily Red here.

Can Crushed be fed with other Redmond mineral salt supplements?

Crushed should not be fed with other loose horse minerals like Redmond Daily Red or Crushed with Garlic. Giving your horse access to a free-choice Redmond Rock or Rock on a Rope mineral lick in addition to Crushed is fine.

Controls Diarrhea

My horse has diarrhea during hot weather. We are in a heat wave right now and it is helping immensely. Might see a side effect of weight gain - not sure if is a coincidence.

Great stuff!

I have salted my horse's feed for years with plain white salt. They would often not finish their feed or leave some salt in the bottom of the bucket. With Daily Red Crushed, they not only eat everything, but thoroughly lick the bucket clean! I am sure now, they are consuming enough good salt & minerals to stay properly hydrated. I also observe an increase in their water consumption. Win-win all around!!
